Fremont Vineyard Church

One of the Fremont California Churches you should visit is the Fremont Vineyard Church.  At the Vineyard Fremont we are a loving, multi-national community who desire to worship God with our whole lives and who take the good news of Jesus to our neighbors, community and the world.

That’s our mission statement. But what does that really mean? Here’s a breakdown:

  • We are a loving: We love each other and we love to include new people! We desire to “welcome one another as He (Christ) has welcomed us” (Romans 15:7). Our goal is to be deeply involved in each other’s lives. We hang out, share, pray, laugh, cry, and rejoice together. We support, exhort, challenge, and encourage each other. We are a family.
  • mulit-national community: In Fremont you find people from all over the world, and you’ll find the same thing in our church. Speak Hindi? Immigrate from Africa? Born in Germany? Visit family in the Philippines? Move here from the Midwest? Native to the Bay Area? Part of an intercultural family? You’ll find someone here with someone in common with you.  Although we come from many different places, we’re united by a love for Christ and a love for each other. The cool thing is that everyone belongs. And we get to try out lots of yummy food from all over the world!
  • who desire to worship God with our whole lives:Worship is one of our highest values, a priority we want to encompass every part of our lives not just an hour or two on Sunday mornings. Todd Hunter, former Director of the Association of Vineyard Churches, put it this way:

As we worship Jesus, He comes and “inhabits the praises of His people”…we then respond to the presence of the Holy Spirit with a deeply felt love for Jesus.

This love naturally leads to a desire to be with Jesus more and learn His teachings. This then leads to confidence in Him, spurring us on to be Ambassadors of His Kingdom, true disciples.  To “Do the Stuff” that Jesus did, not just sing about it or read about it.

This doing the work of the Kingdom then reminds us again of our dependency on the power of the Holy Spirit, which brings us back full circle to the desire to be with God in worship in the context of the community of faith, the family of God!

  • and who take the good news of Jesus to our neighbors, community and the world.
